Tipping is always on the minds of travelers and movers. What’s the tipping policy? Is it customary to tip your waiter? What about your bartender or cab driver? Well in France, tipping the wait staff is expected, however, tips are not typically as high since servers are paid a living wage and don’t depend on tips. In cafes, tipping is more of a gesture than an obligation, about 5% is normal. In nicer restaurants, it’s usual to leave around 10%. Although, tipping in taxis is just as important than in the States and you should leave around 5-10 euros depending on the quality of service.
